Elche is one of the below-average teams in the league, they escaped relegation last season and it doesn't look like it's going to miss this season either. They are currently in fifteenth place with a three-point lead on the relegation zone, but they have played a game or two more than the other teams. Elche have won only two of their eleven games, they have big problems scoring goals, 8 goals scored in 11 games is a pretty poor score.
Neither of opponents managed to score in the last round round. Elche lost 0:1 at Alavés, Real drew 0:0 at home against Osasuna. It was the third loss points for Madrid in the last four rounds (previously Barcelona 2-1, Espanyol 1-2, Villarreal 0-0), which somewhat devalues the prestigious triumph in El Clásico. Ancelotti's team has fallen three points behind the leaders Real Sociedad, but Real still has one game to play. Even so, Real would obviously hate to lose points again, especially since Elche are one of the weakest opponents in LaLiga.
These two teams have met ten times in the top league. Nine of them were won by the favourite, once (last December) Elche managed to draw 1-1 with Real at their stadium. I don't think there will be a similar surprise this time.
My prediction: Asian Handicap: Real Madrid -1.0 @ 1.87 (bet365)
