I believe that the visiting St. Petersburg will win against the home team Khabarovsk.
St. Petersburg leads the Western Conference with 60 points in 42 games for a 130-89 score. They are in great form. Out of the last 9 games, they have won 7 times in regulation time, once in overtime and lost once to Dynamo Moscow in overtime, which is one of the best teams in the entire KHL. St. Petersburg clearly has the best defense in the entire league with a goals conceded average of 2,12 per game. Today they should confirm that against one of the worst shooting teams in the league, the offense features stars like Burdasov, Gusev, Kemppainen, Kuzmenko and the home team should have a hard time defending them.
Khabarovsk is 10th in the Eastern Conference with 38 points in 44 games for a score of 83:112. The last 5 games have not gone well at all. They lost to Yaroslavl (5th place - 54pts) 2:4, Nizhnekamsk (7th place in the East and 41pts) 1:3 and 4:5 afte overtime and then to Vladistovok 0:1 and 1:2, which was the worst team in the whole KHL until then. In two games they scored only 1 goal against the second worst defense in KHL.
Amur Khabarovsk is the second worst scoring team in the league with an average of 1.89 goals per game. That shouldn't be enough for a well-organized team with more quality players. The previous 11 games between these two teams have always been won by St. Petersburg!
My prediction: SKA St Petersburg (in regular time) @ 1.61 (bet365)
