ATP - SINGLES: Toronto (Canada), hard - 1/16-finals
In this match I bet on the win of the Polish tennis player Hurkacz (ATP: 13.), who has a very successful season on hard court this year, in which he has already managed to win two tournaments, namely Delray Beach and Miami (where he managed to beat players like Shapovalov, Tsitsipas, Rublev and Sinner). He enters this tournament after an unsuccessful Olympics, where he was knocked out in the second round as a big favourite, but there were difficult conditions.
On the other side, Nishikori (ATP: 55.), who is also having a good season, is playing a lot of matches, so I expect fatigue to set in. He played in the Olympics and then he went to Washington, where he made it to the semifinals, and then he came here to Toronto, where he's already played one game. He probably has some health problem as well, because he didn't look good at all and in places his first serve was around 160 km/h, which is very slow. He also made too many unnecessary mistakes, which we are not used to with him.
H2H:
Nishikori 1:2 Hurkacz (2019)
Nishikori 1:2 Hurkacz (2019)
My bet:
Hubert Hurkacz @ 1.90 (bet365)
