ITF MEN - SINGLES: M15 Antalya 33 (Turkey), clay - 1/16-finals
This match will offer us a duel between Portuguese tennis player Tiago Cacao (505) and Cezar Cretu (750) from Romania.
Cacao is a 23-year-old player and his highest ranking was 395th in the world rankings (December 2018). His best results have come in home clay tournaments, having played in Oerias for example 2 times in the local Challenger quarterfinals. In mid-August, he played semifinal at the M15 in Curtea de Arges, Romania and quarterfinal in Basel. Since then, he has been struggling and the transition to hard hasn't worked out either, where he hasn't won a single match. He last played at home in Portimao and lost to Orlov from Ukraine.
Cretu is a 20-year-old tennis player and is 35 positions away from his ranking maximum. He's mainly a clay court player and this year he's 34/14. He recently played the final in Pirot, Serbia and is doing well here in Antalya. He reached the final here 2 weeks ago, beating Madarasz, Cungu, Snitari and Madaras and falling short to Chilean Malla. Last week, he played a quarterfinal here, when he fell to Apostol.
In this match, I will try to play a Romanian tennis player who has gotten into good form and is doing well here in Antalya. Cacao is switching to clay after a series of unsuccessful hard matches and in the given situation Cretu is a slight favourite for me.
Cezar Cretu to win @ 1.80 (bet365)
