ITF WOMEN - SINGLES: W25 Funchal (Portugal), hard - 1/16-finals
This match will offer us a duel between Chinese tennis player Zheng Qinwen (144) and Katie Swan (283) from Great Britain.
Zheng is a 19 year old tennis player, a former world No. 6 junior and currently at her ranking maximum in the women's event. This year she played mainly clay court and won the title at W60 in Staré Splavy, where she beat Serbian Krunic in the final and went on to take 2 more semifinals. She won another title earlier in the year in Hamburg indoors. Last time she played in Nantes, where she lost to home player Albie in the 1st round.
Swan is a 22-year-old player and the highest she has looked at was 163rd in the rankings (October 2018). Earlier in the year, she took the title on the hard in Orlando. She was slowed down a lot by health issues due to which she missed a significant part of the season. She played semifinal in Redding a month ago, where she fell to C. Harrison. A week ago, she won the W25 title in Haabneem, Estonia, but had her job made much easier when Kanepi retired in 1/8-finals and Boulter retired in semifinal.
In this match I trust the Chinese tennis player, who is a universal player and knows both hard and clay.
Qinwen Zheng to win @ 1.90 (bet365)
