ITF MEN - SINGLES: M25 Villa Allende (Argentina), clay - Quarter-finals
This match will offer us a duel between two home tennis players, namely Mateo Nicolas Martinez (784) and Bautista Juan Torres (547).
Martinez is a 27-year-old player and his highest ranking was 390th in the world rankings (December 2014). Apart from 2 matches in March, he only started playing regularly this year from August and has played most of his matches on the hard in Monastir. He reached 2 final matches and won 1 title. He played on clay for the first time in a long time last week at a tournament in Cordoba and as a big favourite he lost to his compatriot Novo. Here he beat his compatriots, Dreycopp and Farjat.
Torres is a 19-year-old tennis player and was ranked as high as 13th in the juniors. His debut season among men this year is going well so far. He won his 1st title of the year on clay in Cairo and last week he also dominated his home event in Cordoba and managed to add 3 more semifinals appearances.
In this match, I have a strong favourite in the form of Torres, who is playing very well on clay this year and I expect him to beat Martinez and advance to the next round.
Juan Bautista Torres to win @ 1.45
