ITF MEN - SINGLES: M25 Sarreguemines (France), grass (indoor)
This match will offer us a duel between French tennis player Jurgen Briand (636) and Tristan Schoolkat (615) from Australia.
Briand is a 22-year-old tennis player and is 4 positions away from his ranking maximum. He has a 34/16 score this year and rolls the most indoors (20/6). He has played finals and semifinal indoors at tournaments in Bratislava. He was also successful on clay in Grasse, where he moved past Legout, Pecotica and Brouwer to semifinal as well. Here he easily beat his compatriots Gobat and Hemery.
Schoolkate is a 20-year-old player and the highest he's reached is 595th (September 2021). This year he has played most of his games at home at the UTR Pro Series and a few more in the US. On the ITF circuit, he had a good showing in Plaisir, where he went all the way for the title. But he hasn't done well in his recent matches, losing to Bellier, Damm and last week to Escoffier. Here he won against German Boehler in the 1st round (retired) and then he beat home player Bouquier in 3 sets.
I'm going to trust the home player Briand in this match, who is comfortable on the local surface so far and has won both matches in style, Schoolkate is not so sure here.
