ITF WOMEN - SINGLES: W15 Monastir 42 (Tunisia), hard - Final
This match will offer us a duel between Chinese tennis player Yexin Ma (569) and Julia Middendorf (711) from Germany.
Ma is a 22 year old tennis player and has been playing on the ITF circuit since September in Monastir and has already managed to win the title and added 3 more semifinals appearances. This week, as the number one seed, she beat smoothly Australia's Graovac, Croatia's Ciric Bagaric and Drazic, and in semifinal, former world number 66, 28-year-old Thailand's Kumkhum.
Middendorf is an 18-year-old player and is currently ranked 37th in the junior rankings (max 25). Among the women, she made her presence known at home on the clay in Stuttgart, where she received a wild card qualification and was able to capitalize on it with wins over Fett and Korpatsch to play the main event. In August, she had a successful ITF in Erwitte, where she defeated Samavati in the final and enjoyed her 1st women's title. Here in Monastir, she made her first appearance on hard among the women and advanced smoothly over Russia's Orlova and then managed 3-set battles with Gadient, Mack and Stolmar.
Ma is playing in great form, she hasn't lost a set yet, but most importantly she beat the big favourite Kumkhum smoothly. Middendorf is a talented young tennis player, but she is mainly a clay court player and hasn't played nearly as many matches on hard. Here she went 3 times to 3 sets right away and I expect the Chinese tennis player to have more quality and more power and to claim her second title of the year here.
Yexin Ma to win @ 1.66 (bet365)
