Israel Premier League
Maccabi Tel Aviv have title ambitions in Israel, but their position in the table does not correspond to that at all. They haven't won at home in a long time and this is the series I'm going against. I believe that they will beat Hadera already and finally take 3 valuable points at home.
Hadera is one of the best teams in terms of away games, but they got those points at the beginning of the season on the ground of teams that had a very slow start (Ashdod, Shmona...). Hadera is still in a very nice 6th place and has the same points as Maccabi, but their potential is not as big as Tel Aviv's, which is also performing well in Europe. Moreover, Hadera's form is slowly going downhill. She has only scored 6 points from the last 5 rounds and is struggling mainly in the offensive department. Maccabi is the one who is improving in the league and is already in 5th place, with the possibility that this win could put them in 3rd place. So far they are 10 points behind the leaders, which is not a small number and they need to work hard to get 3 points here. In the last 3 home league matches Maccabi has not won (2 draws, 1 loss) and this surely can't please the fans either. Tel Aviv's quality is top for Israel and that needs to start showing in the long run. So after 3 home failures, I believe in the famous team from this modern port city on the shores of the Mediterranean.
Hadera didn't win in the last 3 away games (2 draws and 1 loss) and in all games they were statistically on the short end. But they won't get any more points against Maccabi.
My prediction: Maccabi Tel Aviv @ 1.50 (bet365)
