World Cup Qualification
It's true that it's never easy to play on the islands, but here the difference in quality is so huge that the Portuguese should keep the 3 points, all the more so when they are fighting with Serbia for the first place in the group and thus direct promotion to Qatar. They are currently only one point behind the Balkan team, but they have one game less against Serbia and if they win this match they will go ahead of the Serbs by 2 points. In the last round, Portugal and Serbia will play each other and the Portuguese would only need one point to get a ticket to Qatar.
The Irish national team is largely made up of footballers playing in the lower English leagues, the third league is no exception and the difference must be noticeable here. Ireland have won only 5 points in 6 games, they even lost at home to minnows from Luxembourg and it is hard to expect them to beat Portugal now, who are definitely more motivated, as the Irish play only for honor. The Portuguese national team is a huge offensive force, which is definitely not based only on Ronaldo. Coach Santos also has the likes of Fernandes, Andre Silva, Bernardo Silva, Moutinho and Jota at his disposal and especially in attack there is a huge overload.
Portugal turned the first game around with two goals by CR7 at home at the very end, but the whole game was played on one goal, the shot ratio was 29:8 and the Irish survived several Portuguese chances, Ronaldo also missed a penalty.
Here the cards are just dealt very clearly and I believe in 3 points for Portugal
My bet:
Asian Handicap: Portugal -1.5 @ 2.08
