Hockey: Czech Extraliga
The duel between Hradec and Sparta was supposed to take place under normal conditions in the open air during the Winter Hockey Games. Due to the current coronavirus situation, the games have been cancelled and Hradec will welcome Sparta on its ice.
Hradec are still in 2nd place and are closing in on Třinec, they have won four of their last five games, losing only in their last meeting in Liberec 1:2. Kevin Klíma gave his team the lead, but the White Tigers turned the game around in the third period and Hradec came out empty-handed. But the home team doesn't have to be sorry, they are in a very good starting position at the halfway point of the season and will most likely secure a direct qualification to the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
The opponent from the capital answered the 4:6 loss to Zlín with a 6:0 win against Kladno, again the two most productive Spartans Erik Thorell and Filip Chlapík (both with 34 points) scored, they are also the most productive players in the whole competition, this pair is very dangerous. Matěj Machovský, who returned after a short stint in the KHL with Dinamo Riga, had his first win of the season for Sparta as a goalkeeper.
The Prague team defeated Mountfield 8:3 in their last game, but Hradec will be more careful this time and the match will be very even. Kevin Klíma could make a breakthrough for the home team, he has been in good form in recent games and he scored a hat-trick against Sparta two seasons ago.
My bet:
Kevin Klíma scores a goal to the decision @ 3.90
