Don't be fooled by Hellas Verona's 1:3 defeat to Sampdoria on Saturday. Igor Tudor's charges are still in good form and have not lost a point in five rounds at home since the arrival of their new coach! AS Roma, Spezia, Lazio, Juventus and most recently Empoli have fallen victim to them, and they were already hoping for at least a point in injury time. However, the home team, playing with a high level of intensity, deservedly lived up to the hype and if they play with the same level of composure, which is widely expected, they will have no problem against one of the two worst teams in the league, Cagliari.
Cagliari were unable to beat Salernitana at home last time out, drawing 1-1 at the very end. Only eight points suggest big problems, and we all know that this team is not a terror on foreign pitches. This has been true for a long time, and doubly so this season - Cagliari have taken only two points away from home (0-2-4), conceding at least two goals each time. In Verona, they have lost four of the last five encounters, which will certainly not change now.
