Golden State boasts the best record in the NBA (27-6), but Warriors have more than enough to worry about before tonight's game. The already long list of indisposed players grew after the 116-107 win in Phoenix. Covid's minutes won't allow Draymond Green to play, without whom the team's defense is not nearly as solid. Green can be felt under both baskets, he can block, get the ball, rebound, shoot and free up teammates and Golden State has no way to adequately replace him. Nikola Jokic must be relieved that the defensive dog won't be chasing him on the field. Whenever Denver's star started against Green, he had trouble asserting himself. Even Nuggets are having trouble with the injury list, with mainstays Aaron Gordon, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. out, and they were happy for a slim 103-100 win at Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. Either way, tonight's first matchup of the season should be richer in points; more than 214 points have fallen eight in a row, and with one exception, Warriors celebrated at the end.
My bet:
Number of points including overtime: Over 214.5 @ 1.66
