Europa Conference League - Qualification - Final
Here I'm definitely going to pick Gent to win, who lost 0-1 in their first match at the Polish Rakow, even though they were the better and more active team
Rakow pulled out a big win in the last season 2020/21, when they finished 2nd in the Polish league behind Legia, and that's also why they "have to do something". But what Raków did even in those first qualification rounds, you don't see that that often. Rakow didn't score a single goal in 90 minutes in those 4 games (2nd and 3rd rounds of qualification). Again, it logically follows that he couldn't get one either. Yes that's right - Rakow played 0:0, 0:0, 0:0 and 0:0.
In the 2nd qualification round Raków knocked out Lithuania's Sudova after penalty shootout and in the 3rd qualification round they knocked out Kazan with a lucky extra time goal. Kazan played the end of the extra time without a player sent off and Kazan missed a penalty in the 122nd minute.
Gent knocked out Norway's Välerenga in the second qualification round (4:0 at home and 0:2 away), and in the third qualification round they had a surprisingly tough time against Latvia's RFS - 2:2 at home, though on shots total it was 31:4, and away Gent won 1:0, though on shots on target it was 10:0 for Gent.
Statistics: 1st match:
Rakow 1:0 Gent
Ball possession - 39% : 61%
Goal attempts - 4:12
Shots on goal - 2:4
Corner kicks - 1:4
My bet:
Handicap: Gent -1.5 @ 2.22 (bet365)
