ITALY: Serie A
Italian Serie A is slowly approaching its halfway point and the 17th round will start with the Genoa derby on Friday. Both teams are still very much involved in the fight to stay among the elite and have played each other in somewhat better times. Genoa will have the advantage of more fan support this time around, as they are two points behind the relegation zone and at the moment the arrival of new coach Shevchenko doesn't seem to be helping them. What the heck, nobody probably thought they would win at Juventus in the last round and losing 0-2 was no tragedy. The problem is that the Genoa side hasn't scored a goal in any of their four games so far under the new coach (0-1-3).
That should change this time, as both teams have scored in each of the previous four meetings, but Sampdoria in particular have already conceded 32 goals this season. They have lost their last two games by identical 1-3 scores, both times conceding all three goals in the first half. So after two previous wins, which helped them escape the relegation zone, Sampdoria are starting to slip again and the talk about the sacking of coach D'Aversa is intensifying.
My bets:
Both Teams to Score - Yes @ 1.75 (bet365)
1st half result or match result - Draw @ 1.65
