Two Brazilian teams to face in the Copa Libertadores Final. I'm convinced Flamengo will lift the trophy...
Flamengo has recently won Copa do Brasil and also in the league they are third, but are out of the race for the title as Palmeiras are one step away from lifting the trophy and it's four rounds remaining. Recent success in the cup and comfy place in the table makes me believe overally better Flamengo will be aiming for the cups double this year.
Athletico PR needed piece of luck to get into the finals, especially in the semis where they unexpectedly knocked out Palmeiras as they won 1-0 the first leg at home, and in the second leg, Palmeiras got a red when 1-0 up in the first half, then Palmeiras added another in the second half, 2-0, but Athletico PR were able to put on amazing comeback leveling the score in the 85th minute! But it was also 1/16 finals and quarter-finals where Athletico PR needed some luck, first in the 1/16 finals they beat Libertad 3-2 on aggregate and in the quarterfinals it was Estudiantes only 1-0 on aggregate.
Seems that two legs always helped Athletico PR to stay in the competiton, but this is the FINAL.... with Flamengo ready to get that trophy with better football than Athletico PR!
Anything could happen, but you have to take Flamengo if you are going to bet! Good luck all
