In the 14th round of the English Premier League we have the Merseyside derby on the schedule.
The favourites are, of course, the visitors. It may be due to the fact that Everton is not experiencing the best season. Currently, this team is on the 14th position with 15 points, which is only 2 points away from the 17th position, which is just above the relegation zone. Everton have lost more matches than won. Their score is equally negative - 4/3/6 + 16:20 with a profit of 15 points. They have the worst form from the last 5 games. They have won only 1 point. In these 5 games they have a score of 3:11. Watford also won at Goodison Park and by a high score of 2-5. Everton are not in form...
Liverpool is in 3rd place. This team has the fewest losses in the league (together with Chelsea), and they are only 2 points behind the first placed Chelsea. However, they have the best attack to their credit. In fact, they have an offense 8 goals better than Chelsea, who have the second best offense. Their score is 8/4/1 + 39:11 with 28 points. their defence is also good enough. 3rd best of the league. In away games they are the 2nd best team. They have Salah playing in unbelievable form in the team. Looking at the goalscorers table, we have Salah (1st), Vardy (2nd) and Jota and Mane in the top 3. These three players accounted for 25 goals for their team, which is 65% of the total. The top 2 assisents in the PL are the pair of Salah & TAA. Liverpool are in really good form and their key players are also having a very good season.
Everton have been missing Calver-Lewin, who used to score goals, for a while now, it's definitely a setback for the Toffees. Liverpool are missing Firmino, only his position has been filled by Jota with sufficient quality (if not better).
Merseyside derby is always tricky, recent games suggest so, but I believe the difference between these two clubs is greater than last season. So I expect Liverpool to win in handicap.
