Bröndby is an underrated team, but it was the club from Copenhagen that managed to win the Danish title this year, leaving city rival FC and the favoured Midtjylland behind.
The home team may not have any big stars, but they can play with a huge intensity, which is very annoying. Thus, the only partial advantage for Sparta is the drop in form on the Bröndby side, which is mainly picking up draws in the new season (1-5-2 - 11:12).
However, Sparta has also not adjusted to the cups optimally, the weekend defeat against Plzen (2:3) showed where the team has weaknesses, so the progress under coach Vrba is not as it was presented. With stronger opponents, Sparta has problems especially in defence. On the other hand, Sparta's forward play is fun, the team has learned how to transition quickly to the offensive, it's not just boring combinations that started from their own goal. The offensive players have good speed and can score some goals even on Danish soil, Hložek, Pešek or Karlsson play good which are difficult to defend. Sparta have a score of 5-1-1 - 18:6 in the league so far.
Both sides could exchange goals, at least one each, and even a 1-1 draw doesn't look like an unrealistic result for me, although I feel that more goals could have been scored.
Prediction:
Both Teams to Score - Yes @ 1.75 (bet365)
