A couple of early matches that have caught the eye but reduced stakes for me for Cup matches.
I am not a football expert by any stretch of the imagination and have rather a basic approach to statistics which has served me well enough on the exchanges over the years and that is the bottom line. I am sure that the level of expert analysis on this forum will inspire me to do better.
In the meantime I do have the luxury of swapping my lack of knowledge for much better prices and the opportunity to trade out of positions and so my approach may not be to everyone's taste but at least it shows the types of prices available for the in-play markets, like yesterday's Peterborough match for example.
My strategy generally means I just need to get close and often take a profit before the final score is declared, but always nice to get a winning result regardless.
I use the Flashscores in-play statistics to gauge the general mood of the game along with the general goal stats.
11:00 U.K Time. Kawasaki vs Shimizu.
Regular 4 and 5 goals on the H2H in the last 5 matches and a strong home team advantage here today. It it is noted that Shimizu are more than capable of rallying a response with 2 of those matches ending 2 - 2.
Kawasaki have not been prolific scorers in more recent played matches but they do head the J1 league and well ahead of today's opponents in 14th position.
I am going to overlook Kawasaki's recent poor scoreless performance and predict we see at least 3 goals and the Over 2.5 market at around 1.80 across the board.
No Correct Score on the exchanges for the preferred any other home win market so I will back the Over 4.5 market initially to cover any early goal action and wait for better prices on the Over 2.5 nearer half time.
11:00 U.K Time. Kashima vs Nagasaki.
Good recent form for Kashima and the last 3 out of 4 less recently played H2H's (2018/19) going over 2.5 goals with Kashima winning all four of those matches, but are now leagues apart in 2021.
Quite generous for the Over 2.5 market currently at 1.92 on the exchanges considering the last two J1 matches from Kashima have produced Over 2.5 goals, albeit against lower league performers, I feel that on paper this one should at least offer a similar performance and a few goals would be nice.
Difficult one to pitch in terms of trading as a lot of goals may not be forthcoming, but I will do my usual backing the Over 4.5 market at 6.0 or better and again wait for the better prices and a bigger stake on the more likely Over 2.5 should the match run slower.
