EFL Cup: Norwich vs. Liverpool

Norwich have been absolutely tragic so far this season, picking up only defeats in the first five rounds of the Premier League, with zero points and a 2:14 score, they are last in the table. After four rounds I still defended them for playing only against strong opponents, but last time Norwich lost 1:3 against Watford and showed absolutely bad performance, especially in the defensive phase. I think it will be a priority for Norwich to try and save themselves in the Premier League and they won't field their strongest line-up for this game.

Also Liverpool will definitely give rest to their players, Klopp will surely give space to players who haven't played so much this season. But Liverpool have such a wide squad that it might not be that noticeable on the pitch. We can expect players like Keleher, Gomez, Phillips, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Minamino and Origi to play. These players are not currently in the starting lineup, but they will be all the more motivated to prove themselves against Norwich.

I really hope this will be an easy win for Liverpool. I don't reckon Norwich will be particularly up for the cups while trying to avoid the drop, but maybe I'm wrong. It's not like they have Europe to worry about anyway, so maybe they won't rotate as much as I hope.

Either way, Liverpool should win but I'd like it to be comfortable. Good luck

Great performances from Taki, Origi, Gomez and Kweev. Ox and Bradley struggled a bit, but both better in the 2nd half. Konate was great apart from his passing, which he kept messing up once in a while.
