I'll probably go against most bettors in this bet. In the quarter-finals of the English League Cup, Arsenal, who are currently fourth in the Premier League, will play Sunderland, who are playing in the third division.
Arsenal have three wins and two losses in their last five league games. However, they are on a run of three wins in their last three games with a 9-1 score. Arsenal are playing a league game on the 26th of December, so I expect a lot of young players to start today. Aubameyang Pierre-Emerick will miss the game due to a disciplinary penalty.
Expected Arsenal lineup: Leno, Soares, Holding, Chambers, Tavares, Maitland-Niles, Elneny, Pepe, Smith Rowe, Nketiah, Lacazette. This is almost the entire bench from the last league game.
Sunderland are seven games without a loss in League One. In the last four games they have scored at least one goal each time. Sunderland will now only miss striker Dajaku, who was injured in their last game against Ipswich. Luke O'Nien and Aiden McGeady are out injured for a long time.
Sunderland sold all 5,200 allocated tickets for the game. I think Sunderland will go into the game 100 per cent with a full squad and supported by their fans. They can only surprise in the match. They will be up against Arsenal substitutes so I believe they will score at least one goal.
Prediction:
Both Teams to Score - Yes @ 2.0 (bet365)
