Here is the game between Detroit Red Wings and Washington Capitals at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, where I believe the visiting Washington will win this game.
Detroit Red Wings: 5th place in the Eastern Conference, 16 points with a score of 43:46
Washington Capitals: 4th in the Eastern Conference, 16 points with a score of 42:32
Detroit's last 4 games:
Detroit - Edmonton 4:2
Detroit - Vegas 5:2
Buffalo - Detroit 3:4 (after overtime)
Boston - Detroit 5:1
Detroit is doing better than in previous seasons, when it's still not at the top. Detroit is in 4th place in the Eastern Conference, having won 7 of their 14 games, 2 of them in overtime.
Detroit has players who can score, and if we look at the players who have already surpassed the 10-point mark or scored 10 points this year, we can see that here:
Defence: Seider Moritz 11 points
Offense: Bertuzzi Tyler 15 points, Raymond Lucas 14 points
Well for Detroit it's not a bad result after the previous years, but now they welcome Washington Capitals, who are only one place ahead of Detroit, but Detroit has 2 more games played.
Washington's last 4 games:
Washington - Buffalo 5:3
Washington - Philadelphia 1:2
Florida - Washington 5:4 (after overtime)
Tampa - Washington 3:2
Washington is in 4th place in the Eastern Conference. Washington has lost three of its last four games, but those were against strong opponents like Florida, Tampa and Philadelphia, which are not weak teams.
Washington definitely has quality players on the team, when you look at players who have scored 10 or more points, you see these players:
Offense: Evgeni Kuznetsov 16 points, Alexander Ovechkin 21 points and Tom Wilson 10 points.
The experienced Washington team should win here against Detroit, as they are only 1 point behind Rangers and the 6th and 7th teams in the table are only one point behind them. So in this game the team that loses could drop more ranks, which Washington will not want to let happen and will win the game, when Detroit is in 5th place, but I don't think they can stay there.
My bet:
Washington Capitals (to decision) @ 1.75
