Friendly International
If we look at the squad of Czech team, even if they resort to some rotation, there is definitely no "B" coming in.
Goalkeepers: Vaclík, Mandous, Staněk
All of them are in good form, they play regularly for their clubs and they play well!
In defence, Coufal, who is fighting for a place in West Ham, and Novak, who is a regular for Fenerbahçe, will probably start on the backs. Eventual backup Matějů, again a regular in Serie B. Kalas, Brabec, both regulars in the Championship and Greece respectively.
In the midfield, captain Tomáš Souček, in front of him I expect Alex Kral, whose form after Covid remains a question mark, and Antonín Barák, who is doing well in Verona! As the wingers will be Pešek playing in excellent form, on the other side I expect the combative Masopust.
Vydra, boosted by his goal at Stamford Bridge, will be their number one in attack against Kuwait and Estonia. But even if Kuchta comes on, that should be enough against Kuwait.
+ WEATHER
Kuwait these days 28-30 degrees. Czech Republic 7-10 degrees.
+ PLAYED OUT
Kuwait last met in June, then played only a friendly in Bosnia in September. Now it also has only a match with Czech Republic.
+ FORM
Czech don't have any brilliant 4-3-3 form in numbers, but they have defeats against Belgium, Italy, England. Wins against teams like the Netherlands, Scotland...
Kuwait have terrible 1-2-7 form, beating only Thai-wan 2-1, at odds of 1.01 and they have known nothing but losses since 2019. None of their recent opponents can stand a comparable standard, perhaps only Australia who are behind Czech in the Fifa rankings and Australia won smoothly 3-0.
+ QUALITY
Czech Republic is 40th in the Fifa rankings, Kuwait has dropped to 148th, ahead of Yemen, Leshotho, Nicaragua. Estonia, who Czech Republic beat 6-2, is 116th. The value of the Kuwait squad is 20 times lower than Czech Republic's. There are a lot of players in the Kuwait team with minimal national team experience or, on the contrary, over-aged players (41 years old at stopper), outside the local league is only Fahad Al Ansari (34), who plays in Qatar for Al-Wakra, for whom he played 0 minutes this year.
If Czech Republic doesn't completely underrate that, they should beat Kuwait in a similar way as Estonia (6:1).
My bet:
Asian Handicap: Czech Republic -1.5 @ 1.91
