Trinec are currently in fourth place (they have two games more than several teams) and have a four-game winning streak. In the Champions League, Trinec won both times against Slovan Bratislava, first 3-0 and then 4-1. Martin Ruzicka is the most productive player in the league with a score of 8+8, he is one of the long-term and permanent mainstays, he has a lot of experience from the national team, e.g. from the 2018 Winter Olympic Games and the 2010 World Championship, where he won the gold medal. Another big offensive force is Erik Hrňa (7+7), who played most of the season in the third and fourth lines, so Trinec can reach into the bottom lines. The home team probably have the strongest team on the squad, the two titles in a row were certainly not a coincidence.
Pardubice will be a very uncomfortable opponent, they have lost only one of their last six games against Olomouc 0:1. In their last game, they beat Vitkovice 6:0, with Vitkovice conceding very few goals. Robert Ricka scored in this game and he is the top scorer in the extraliga with nine goals. David Ciencial is also doing well, the goaltending tandem Frodl-Kloucek is very reliable so far, maybe the best in the whole competition.
The game will be very even, but Vaclav Varada's team is very uncomfortable at home, having lost only once, so they could keep all three points in Trinec.
My prediction: Trinec (in regular time) @ 1.75 (bet365)
