HOCKEY: Czech Republic
Mlada Boleslav are in fifth place in the table, but they haven't had good results recently, losing three of their last four games. The last time they lost 0:3 in Karlovy Vary, it was the second time in two games that they were held scoreless. The big problem is the injury to David Stastny, Boleslav is struggling without him, especially in scoring. Some of the other mainstays are not doing well either, Ondrej Najman hasn't scored in eight games, Fořt is also struggling, Claireaux and Eberle are still waiting for their first goal.
Zlin is still in the last place in the table, but in the last two games they surprised their opponents (3:2 win against Olomouc and 2:1 after overtime against Trinec). The last win was very surprising, as Trinec is at the top of the table and has dominated the competition so far. Darek Hejcman scored a goal and Oscar Flynn decided the overtime. After the departure of two of the team's most productive players, Tomas Mikus and Peter Tršek, Zlin have unexpectedly picked up their gameplay, with the addition of Latvian forward Patriks Zabusovs and Russian Vladimir Mikhasyonok. The visitors are eight points behind Kladno (second to last) in the table and they are not giving up yet.
Boleslav is not in the best form in the last few games, but they will welcome the worst team in the extraliga at home. Boleslav should be able to handle Zlin and win at least by two goals.
