HOCKEY: Czech Republic
Litvinov is in 13th place after 19 games, winning three of their last six games. But all wins came against easier opponents (Karlovy Vary, Zlin and Kladno are the four worst teams in the table together with Litvinov). Litvinov didn't beat stronger teams (Liberec, Třinec, Pardubice), last time they lost to Pardubice 2:4.
Sparta is in crisis, having lost seven games in a row. In their last game, the Prague team lost to Mlada Boleslav 2:3. The visiting team is a bit busy, as Sparta is the only Czech team to qualify for the knockout part of the Champions League, and the Spengler Cup in Davos awaits them. They are missing several key players (Salák, Polášek, Němeček, Sobotka, Vitouch, Forman). If Sparta wants to win the title, they will have to strengthen.
