Although Litvinov has been out of form in recent games and is in 13th place, they were able to end a streak of three defeats in a row and win 3-2 against Liberec. Coach Růžička also praised the victory, highlighting especially the fighting spirit and commitment of his team. They scored twice in the power play, first Hrbas and then the veteran Hübl, the second oldest player in the competition has the most starts in the league and is still contributing points, the winning goal was scored by Josef Jícha, for whom it was the first goal of the season. Litvinov also relies on Denis Godla, he also had a big part in the victory.
Plzen are in 4th place and have won eight of their last nine games, most recently beating Kometa Brno 6:3. Martin Lang scoring a hat trick and has a total of four points in that match (3+1). Three assists were recorded by Slovak quarterback Peter Čerešňák, he is in a great form, he is the most productive back in the league and is scoring almost a point per game, Plzen can be glad that the deal with Kazan did not materialize. Plzen also relies on David Jiricek, who will miss a longer period of time, but he was injured in the opening game against Canada at the U20 World Championship and had to undergo surgery.
Even without David Jiříček, the visitors will be the favourites; Plzen has won six of the last seven mutual games, so they can handle with Litvinov.
My prediction: Plzen (to decision) @ 1.90 (bet365)
