Last year's runner-up from Liberec is not having the best season yet, they are in 8th place, but they are doing very well in the last duels. Liberec have won five out of the last six matches, but luck was with them, as in all cases they won by only one goal. The last time it was the winning derby with Mlada Boleslav 4:3. Adam Klapka is in form, scoring three times in a row, Michal Birner is slowly starting to pick up and scored twice in a row.
Zlin will try to spoil the Liberec's joy, it won't be an easy challenge, but not unrealistic. In the first meeting of the season, Zlin took two points from Liberec, winning 4:3 after overtime, with Bedřich Köhler scoring four times, but since then he has scored only one goal. The visitors will be looking to repeat this performance, as they are in a bit of a pickle, in last place, which means relegation. In their last match, Zlin lost to Hradec 2:5, and it's hard to turn around from a four-goal deficit. Daniel Gazda, who is in great form and is currently one of the best backs in the extraliga, scored again. However, his form will probably not be enough for Zlin, because the team from the north has caught the form as a whole and will win at home.
