The situation in Liberec is getting serious, six losses in a row is really a lot and last year's finalist definitely has a lot to improve. Patrik Augusta's team is not doing what it did last season, which is productivity and power play advantage. Liberec are lagging behind offensively, averaging only two goals per game, the worst in the league in that aspect. The home team is also the worst in power play usage.
They miss Radan Lenc, who was able to control the power play, Michal Bulíř and Adam Musil are also big losses. New players like Tomas Zaborsky and Jakub Klepis are expected to contribute more points, Michal Birner is not very productive yet either.
The team of České Budějovice was called one of the outsiders before the start of the season, but their performance so far does not fit the role of an outsider. After ten games Budejovice are in seventh place, they have won twice in their last three games (against Kometa Brno 4:1 and Sparta 5:2). In the very last game, České Budějovice team did not celebrate, surprisingly they were beaten by Litvínov 0:3.
