Kladno lost their fourth game in a row, the whole team is practically built on one line, if it fails, the whole team fails. Kladno's score in the last two games is 1:11, first came the 1:8 debacle with Plzen and then the 1:3 defeat to Mlada Boleslav. Jaromir Jagr did not play against Mladá Boleslav due to an injury from the game against Plzen. Jagr is still the top scorer in Kladno, scoring five goals, but he hasn't scored in the last five games. Kladno will have to work hard to avoid a repeat of the 2019/2020 season, they are currently in the second-to-last fourteenth place with only eight points, only Zlin is worse.
On the other side, Kometa Brno will want to follow on their 3-1 win against Liberec, with 1st line Andrej Kollár - Peter Mueller - Michal Krištof scoring all the goals. Muller scored once and collected two assists, while Kristof scored for the first time in the season and scored his first goal in the twelfth game. However, Jiri Kalous's team is not showing steady results, team mainstays like Martin Zat'ovic and Tomas Vincour, center Petr Holík is still waiting for his first goal, but he is one of the best passers with nine assists.
Brno have problems to get on the winning streak, when else to get on it than in the match with Kladno, there are not many easier opponents. So Kometa could take their second win in a row and get full points.
