Dynamo Pardubice are currently in 3rd place and fulfilling preseason expectations. But in the last two games, Pardubice lost to Hradec 3:4 (after overtime) and then to Karlovy Vary 1:4. The home team has no reasons to panic yet, there are very good players in the squad, one of them is Robert Říčka, who came from Sparta in the summer. He already has 16 goals on his scoring list and is therefore the top scorer in the extraliga. David Ciencial, another reinforcement (from Mlada Boleslav), is also doing well, he often passes to Říček and has already collected 15 assists.
Liberec are currently in 11th place and have lost two in a row. Before the national break, Liberec lost to Olomouc 4:6, leading 2:0, but the second period ended 0:4 for Olomouc. And after that, they lost 2:4 in Friday's duel with Trinec, with Birner and Vlach, who scoring their eighth goals and, perhaps surprisingly, being Liberec's top scorer. This year the whole team is struggling in attack, only 47 goals, only Vitkovice and Zlin scored less.
Despite Liberec's poor performances, it should be an exciting game. Pardubice will be closer to ending their two-game losing streak, as they are in a better frame of mind, playing at home, and the visitors will probably still be missing important players Vitásek and Šmíd.
