Budejovice won only once in the last four games, in the last game against Kometa 4:1. It was a very important win for Ceske Budejovice, because in the previous match they were defeated at home by Mladá Boleslav, who beat them 1:6 in front of their own fans. In both of the last two games, scorer Milan Gulas scored, who is tied with David Krejci for the scoring lead with seven goals. Forward Lukas Pech is Milan Gulas's top passer, with 10 assists he leads the league, Pech - Gulas connection is working well so far.
Sparta Prague have lost only one game so far (to Trinec 4:7). The Spartans will definitely want to continue their five-game winning streak and eventually move into first place. Josef Jandač's team (Sparta) should be better on paper, especially the first two lines could be dangerous as usual. Alexander Salak, who is very reliable and has experience from the KHL and the national team, will probably play in goal again. Michal Moravčík, who is Sparta's best defender according to his performances so far, may be missing again.
At first view, Sparta is the clear favourite and will win the duel for three points, but Budejovice will be a very unpleasant opponent, the last important win against Brno could give the home team a psychological boost.
My prediction: Sparta Prague to win @ 1.55 (bet365)
