Patrick Vieira's men failed to follow up their impressive 3:0 win over Tottenham and lost 0:3 to a strong Liverpool last weekend. Five points after five rounds is not exactly an ideal start to a new coaching job. However, it should be noted that on four occasions They have to face one of last year's top seven sides (Chelsea, West Ham, Tottenham, Liverpool). On the other hand, the home side didn't score a goal against newcomer Brentford (0:0) and are relatively unreadable ahead of their clash with Brighton.

The visitors could never have dreamed of such an entry into the season. Four wins in the opening five rounds, including one in the last match with a strong Leicester, sent Brighton into the top four two points ahead of Manchester City after last weekend!

In the famous derby "A23", as the match between Brighton and Crystal Palace is nicknamed, the team from the south coast has failed four times in a row (0-2-2). Therefore, a balanced and combative duel (Brighton already have 10 yellow cards) should not bring a winner.

Brighton have started the season well and may even go top of the Premier League after this game. Graham Potter's men have lost only at home to Everton in 5 games, otherwise they have already 4 wins. I was thinking about a clean 2, but Crystal Palace after the arrival of Patrick Viera on the bench looks much fresher than in the era of "retired" Hodgson and I dare not say that Brighton will get 3 points tomorrow.

Both teams have excellent offensive players and even though Crystal Palace's game is mainly based on defence, they can score goals too. Both teams could score in the game. Brighton will definitely dominate the ball and Crystal Palace won't let too much into the game, however, the home side will threaten mainly after standard situations and Brighton don't really excel at defending those.

This is very interesting, Brighton must feel the chance to get on the top of the table, while CP with new energy from Vieira. While I don’t cosider him as a good manager, this could be a new and better chapter for Crystal Palace.

The derby matches between CP and Brighton always have a special appeal for the home team and many fans consider the visitors as their biggest rivals from London. Zaha has been playing classically well, joined by the great Gallagher so far, and the new signing Edouard was excellent against Hotspurs. All are technical and speed players who should give the opponents problems in 1vs1 duels.
Match referree will be A. Mariner, who refereed 2 matches in which he showed 8 yellow cards in total. I expect a sharper and quality derby match in which fans will also play their role.
In addition, if Brighton win, they will be top of the Premier League and that is a significant motivation for the other side as well.

Crystal Palace deserved the win since they were the better team for 95% of the match but that's football. Switch off for one second and it can all change.

Still kind of worrying how despite controlling the game and having so much possession they didn't look that dangerous at all in the box. Ayew should have put his shot away but apart from that they didn't really trouble Sanchez at all...
