They are neighbours in the table, with Everton just two points ahead of Crystal in 13th place with 18 points after 15 rounds, and Crystal just below them in 14th place with 16 points.
Overall, this is certainly more disappointing for Everton fans who expected their favourites to finish in the top half of the table like last year or in previous years. Yet the Toffees have not started badly at all. Everton have taken thirteen points from their opening six games! But then, as when Everton lost, came the defeats, and sometimes quite cruel ones - like the loss to a weak Watford 2-5! Or the recent defeat to Liverpool 1-4. But right after that Everton beat the now strong Arsenal 2-1.
But what I find interesting is the total number of goals that are falling in the Everton games. Everton can score goals, but more importantly they are conceding them in abundance this season. In total, on average, Everton are conceding over 2.9 goals per game, while we would only need 2 goals to win. And with Crystal, that might not be a problem. They are in a similar position as Everton. They are conceding almost the same average of 2.7 goals per game as Everton. And that average has now been much reduced by their last two goal-scarce results - defeats of 0-1 at Leeds and 0-1 at Manchester United.
I don't believe Crystal hasn't scored a goal for the third consecutive game. And with Everton, in the last 3 games between them, they've always scored at least 1 goal, and got one. So those last 3 games have been - from Crystal's point of view: 1-1, 1-2, 1-3.
As I wrote, it's going very well in both Crystal and Everton games:
Everton: 2:1, 1:4, 0:1, 0:3, 0:0, 1:2, 2:5
Crystal: 0:1, 0:1, 1:2, 3:3, 2:0, 2:0, 1:1, 2:2, 2:2, 1:1.
For Everton it is worth mentioning Richarlison, who scored at Crystal last year and now scored in the last game against Arsenal (and VAR disallowed two yet). Then Wilfried Zaha, who recently wanted to move to Everton, will especially try for Crystal.
My bet:
Over 1.5 Goals @ 1.40 (bet365)
