NORTH AMERICA: World Cup - Qualification
Although Costa Rica did not manage to start the third stage of the qualification with a good result but the 0:1 loss to Mexico is certainly no shame. First match they draw 0:0 away with Panama. They have plenty of opportunities to eventually make it to the World Cup. Now they have the perfect opponent to get the three points.
Costa Rica has some very well known names on their squad from European leagues and MLS - Navas (PSG), Oviedo (FC Copenhagen), Campbell (Monterrey), Matarrita (FC Cincinnati), Duarte (Levante), Moya (Anyang), Borges (La Coruna), Calvo (Chicago Fire).
In 270 minutes of play, Costa Rica did not concede a single goal. In my opinion, this successful streak of Costa Rica will continue.
Jamaica lost 0:3 to Panama and 1:2 to Mexico at the start of the qualifiers.
Jamaica is going to have an incredibly difficult time. 9 players can't start because of COVID restrictions. These are players who play on the British Islands and can't travel - Antonio (West Ham), Roofe (Rangers), Reid (Fulham), Johnson (Preston), Morrison (Derby), Harding (Rotherham), Moore (Reading), Pinnock (Brentford), Barnes (QPR), Flemmings (Birmingham).
Costa Rica is in better form and the big losses on Jamaica's side give them an even bigger advantage. I believe that Costa Rica will manage this match successfully and get three points.
