Coach Steffen Baumgart's team (Cologne) failed to hold on to their lead at Bielefeld a week ago and took a point for a 1-1 draw, but they extended their unbeaten run to four league games (1-3-0) and remain comfortably in the middle of the table. The "Goats" rely primarily on their home environment, where they last beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 4-1 in the Rhine derby and are the only team in the 1. Bundesliga to go undefeated at home (4-3-0)! However, if there is one thing Cologne needs to work on, it is their defence, as they have not kept a clean sheet once this season, apart from the DFB-Pokal 2nd round match against Stuttgart. Cologne will be looking to keep their home unbeaten run going against Augsburg, who have not won six in a row (0-3-3).
Augsburg are not in an ideal situation, which was confirmed by the defeat to Bochum in the last round (2:3), so they remain in the 16th position. Augsburg is still waiting for its first away win in this Bundesliga season (0-3-4) and I expect that they won't get three points from the RheinEnergieStadion either.
