In this game, I think it's an interesting bet on more than 222.5 points, because:
1. Houston is averaging 109.2 points per game in their last 5 games, despite not playing either Gordon or Wood 4 times. In tonight's game, both of them should play, so Houston might be able to reach at least that average.
2. Houston plays at a fast pace - they have the 2nd fastest pace in the league, which makes us more likely to score more points.
3. Houston has a poor defense - for example, in the last 5 games they are averaging 117.2 points per game, which is the 3rd worst defense in NBA in this period in this aspect.
4. Chicago, even without LaVine, managed to score 115 points against LA Lakers in their last game. Houston has a weaker defense and plays at a fast pace, so I think Chicago might be able to exceed that number again. If Chicago scores 117 points (like Houston is averaging) and wins by about 8 points, as the bookmakers are predicting, we could have a score about 117-109 and our bet could be successful.
5. The last time these teams played each other less than a month ago, Houston won 118-113. Although LaVine also played, even without him this game has high scoring potential and I think the current odds of over 222.5 are worth enough.
My bet:
Number of points including overtime: Over 222.5 @ 1.89
