Tarasenko is a player who needs absolutely no introduction. This is his tenth season in the NHL and he has played all of them for St. Louis Blues. You can say that this player is an icon of this team.
Tarasenko is currently playing on the third line, as the coach is mixing up the forwards after the poor performance of St. Louis, but that doesn't take away from Tarasenko's playing time at all, as he's still averaging a very respectable 17 minutes of ice time this season. Last time in the loss against Detroit it was even almost 20 minutes and he fired 5 shots on goal, even though he didn't get a goal or an assist, he has a high activity level in every game.
Tarasenko also plays on the first power-play line, which St. Louis has been extremely strong this season, as they are currently second in that statistic. Tarasenko has managed to score 2 points in his last 5 games, which speaks about his minor drop in form, but in tonight's game against a weaker Chicago defense, those stats will change.
Tarasenko played 19 games and got 16 points for 7 goals and 9 assists, which is certainly a very good statistic. Chicago has one of the worst defenses in the league and their defensemen can foul a lot in a game which results in power plays and St. Louis has very good power plays and that is the deciding factor why I can't miss Tarasenko today.
My bet:
Vladimir Tarasenko gets a point to the decision @ 1.65
