The loss to Manchester City at the end of September did not slow Chelsea and after two league wins in a row, the Blues have settled at the top of the table. In the last league game, coach Tuchel's men were very lucky when goalkeeper Mendy kept them out at Brentford. It is only the three goals conceded that prove the strength and sophistication of the defensive system organized by the German strategist.
Norwich, who haven't won once yet (0-2-6) and have scored only two goals, come to Stamford Bridge in the next round. Although they have earned their two points in the last two rounds for goalless draws, they have failed to score in four consecutive matches. It would be a big surprise if the visitors were to score or get some points here. Norwich are not quite making the transition to the elite and seem to be heading for a quick return to the second division. But coach Daniel Farke is not giving up, as his team won the second top league in style last year, but any success in this competition is unlikely.
