Chelsea didn't fail in the last round at Newcastle, where they won 3-0 with two goals from defender Reece James. The Blues have taken advantage of their main rivals' loss in the battle for the championship title and are starting to build a slight lead at the top of the table after four wins in a row. In its next appearance at Stamford Bridge, it awaits Burnley, which it managed to beat in each of the previous four meetings, in which Chelsea scored a total of 12 goals, while itself conceding only twice. This is the fifteenth time the two teams have met in the Premier League and not once have they finished goalless.
The probability of the home side winning in the handicap is increased by the fact that Burnley have only managed to beat Chelsea once in their 14 league matches (1-3-10) and have taken just seven points in the opening ten rounds of season.
