CHALLENGER MEN - SINGLES: Pau (France), hard (indoor) - 1/16-finals
This match will offer us a duel between Czech tennis player Zdeněk Kolář (139) and Harold Mayot (407) from France.
Kolar is a 25-year-old tennis player and is 3 positions away from his ranking maximum. This year he played mostly clay and won 3 challenger titles (Oeiras, Iasi, Szczecin). He is 5/7 (68/59 overall) this year and recently beat Kukushkin or O'Connell in Bergamo. Last time he finished in Bratislava against Travaglia.
Mayot is a 19-year-old player and former world junior number one. He is at his ranking maximum in the men's competition, but this season has not been a good one for him so far (14/16). He only appeared on the circuit at the beginning of August and has played 2 futures semifinals on clay. Indoors he has a 6/8 score and his best game was in Toulouse, where he played a quartefinal. His last appearance was at his home M25 indoor tournament in Villers Les Nancy, finishing in second round against Germany's Neuchrist.
In this match Czech player is a big favourite for me. He is on a much higher level and I expect him to handle French youngster and advance to the next round.
