CHALLENGER MEN - SINGLES: Forli 3 (Italy), hard (indoor) - Quarter-finals
This match will offer us a duel between Italian tennis player Luca Nardi (418) and Aldin Setkic (423) from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Nardi is an 18-year-old tennis player and former junior 17 and is currently at his ranking maximum in the men's event. He has played mainly clay this year, but he can play off it as well. He has played 3 ITF finals this year and twice enjoyed the title (M25 Genoa, M15 Madrid). Recently he played an even quarterfinal with Masur on the hard court in Bari after earlier wins over Cressy and Lenz. Here he had a rather tough draw, but he handled both matches with brilliance and didn't lose a set, beating Vavasorri and Vatutin.
Setkic is a 33-year-old player and the highest ranked player in the rankings was 165th (October 2017). This year he has been successful mainly on clay, where he won 2 titles (M15 Sibenik, Prijedor). In the indoor, he qualified for the main event twice this year and the last time here a week ago, he fell to Rosol in the opening round. In this week he defeated the home player Gaius quite surprisingly and then he also defeated Viola.
In this match I'm leaning towards the home youngster, who doesn't have that much experience, but so far he is showing good performances here and if he builds on them in this match, he shouldn't miss the promotion.
Luca Nardi to win @ 1.60
