CHALLENGER WOMEN - SINGLES: Seoul (South Korea), hard (indoor) - 1/8-finals
This match will offer us a duel between the Czech tennis player Linda Fruhvirtova (305) and Jang Su Jeong (215) from South Korea.
Fruhvirtova is a 16 year old tennis player and is currently ranked #2 in the juniors and has won 4 titles this year. She also has an excellent score on the women's circuit, where she has 2 titles this year in Monastir, as well as 1/8-finals WTA tournaments in Cleveland and quarterfinal in Charleston. Her last appearance in the women's event was at the end of October in Les Franqueses, Spain, where she made it through from the qualification to quarterfinal, where she lost to Rodionova. Here she easily beat Mexico's Contreras Gomez.
Jang is a 26-year-old female player and the highest ranking was 120th (June 2017). This year she played only clay court and played 5 final matches from which she managed to win 2 titles (Oldenzaal, Antalya). Her last appearance was in Napoli a month ago, where she lost to Berber in the final. Here she struggled with her compatriot Back Dayeon, a player from the second thousand of the world ranking.
In this match, the Czech tennis player is the clear favourite for me. She is in great form towards the end of the year and I expect her to prove her quality and easily handle the home player and advance to the next round.
