CHALLENGER MEN - SINGLES: Antalya 4 (Turkey), clay - 1/16-finals
This match will offer us a duel between Uzbek tennis player Khumoyun Sultanov (388) and Cezar Cretu (686) from Romania.
Sultanov is a 23-year-old tennis player and the highest ranked was 299th (February 2020). This year, he was not able to get results at all for a long time and only caught on a bit with the transition to the hard court, when he played semifinal in Falun, Sweden and even won the title in Prague after a final win over Poljak. He doesn't seek out clay much and is 34/34 in his career, 6/6 this year. Last week he lost smoothly to Swiss Paul in the 1st qualifying round here.
Cretu is a 20-year-old tennis player and is currently at his ranking maximum. This year he plays mainly clay and has a 40/15 score on clay. However, in the last few weeks he has been in great form and has made his way into 3 final battles. The last one was last week here in Antalya when he beat Cacao, Apostol and Jecan and was not able to beat Michalski. Here his opponent, home player Erel, retired in the 1st qualifying round in the 1st set and in the final of qualification he beat the Ukrainian Prihodko in 2 sets.
In this match, the Romanian tennis player, who likes clay the most and has been playing in exceptional form lately, is the clear favourite for me. On the other hand, Sultanov prefers faster surfaces and I expect him to bid farewell to the tournament after this match.
Cezar Cretu to win @ 1.44 (bet365)
