CHALLENGER MEN - SINGLES: Alicante (Spain), hard - 1/8-finals
This match will offer us a duel between Spanish tennis player Feliciano Lopez (107) and Hugo Grenier (203) from France.
Lopez is a 40-year-old player and the highest he has looked at is 12th in the world rankings (March 2015). In recent seasons, he has already started to lose ground and is slowly falling down the rankings. This year he has a negative score of 13/22 (hard 6/11). He played his best earlier this year at the Australian Open, beating Tua and Sonega and finish in the 3rd round with Rublev. He also played on hard at the home challenger in Segovia, where he was defeated by Grenier. Here he beat 2:0 Italian Marcora.
Grenier is a 25-year-old tennis player and is currently at his career maximum. He won the M25 hard tournament in Baku this year. He has also been successful in Challengers and played SF in Segovia and St. Tropez. His last appearance was at the Orleans Indoor Challenger, where he finished in the quartefinal to Moutet. Here he beat 2:0 American Nava.
Grenier is doing well on his favourite hard courts this year and I expect him to follow on the recent duel where he managed to beat Lopez in 2 sets.
Hugo Grenier to win @ 1.53 (bet365)
