CHALLENGER WOMEN - SINGLES: Midland (USA), hard (indoor) - Quarter-finals
This match will offer us a duel between American tennis player Caty McNally (145) and Doi Misaki (98) from Japan.
McNally is a 19-year-old tennis player and her ranking maximum was at 105 (September 2019). Her best perfomance this year was on hard in Guadalajara, where she took the quarter-final. While she hasn't recorded any great results at recent home events, it should be noted that she has often faced very great opponents. She hasn't played since the US Open and only made an appearance last week in Tyler, where she fell to Haddad Maia in quarter-final. There she went undefeated against her compatriots Brantmaier and Kalieva.
Doi is a 30-year-old player and the highest she has looked (October 2016) was 30th. She's struggled this year and hadn't even made it past the 2nd round in any tournament until last week. She did well on hard in Tyler and celebrated her title after wins over Chang, Han, Kawa, Zacarias and Dart. Here she decided to advance from the first round only in the decisive tiebreak with Volynets and then she managed quite easily with Hewitt.
McNally likes the hall most and has been doing well here and even won a title here 2 years ago when she beat Brengle, Peterson or Pegula in the final.
Caty McNally to win @ 1.66
