CHALLENGER WOMEN - SINGLES: Limoges (France), hard (indoor) - 1/16-finals
This match will offer us a duel between French tennis player Audrey Albie (432) and Ulrikke Eikeri (307) from Norway.
Albie is a 27-year-old player and her highest ranking was 278th in the world rankings (April 2019). She has a neutral score of 20/20 so far this year (indoor 8/8). She played decently recently at her home indoor tournament in Poitiers, where she managed to qualify and beat Babos in the main event, and then also played an even 3-set 1/8-finals with Von Deichmann and beat China's Zheng in Nantes in the opening round as a strong outsider. Her last appearance was in the qualification for the Petange tournament, where she fell to Rouvroy in the final after a super tiebreak.
Eikeri is a 28-year-old tennis player and her career high was ranked 206 (April 2018). This year she is not doing well at all (14/23) and has not even made it past the 2nd round in any tournament. In recent indoor tournaments she has finished ahead of opponents like Ninomiya, Chirico and last week Vismane.
In this match, the home tennis player is a slight favourite for me, having scored some very valuable scalps in the last few weeks. On the other hand, Eikeri is in crisis this year and even the move indoors hasn't helped her much.
