CHALLENGER MEN - SINGLES: Bratislava 2 (Slovakia), hard (indoor) - Semi-finals
Griekspoor has been in unbelievable form recently and is the best player at the Challenger level this season, having won a total of seven tournaments this year. His winning streak currently stands at 23 matches and includes four tournament wins (3 on clay and most recently Tenerife indoors). Here in Bratislava Griekspoor continued his winning streak, beating Pokorný, Kalenichenko and Lehečka. The first two rounds were basically a formality, against Lehecek he had to show a good performance to win.
Molčan is a home tennis player, which can be a slight advantage. However, the Slovakian hasn't done well in Bratislava in the past, going as far as the second round on five previous occasions before breaking through this year. Molčan hasn't been doing badly lately either, he last played the semifinals of the indoor challenger in Bergamo, before that he lost in the qualification in Vienna and played the semifinals of the clay challenger in Barcelona.
Both players prefer clay, where they play the most. Griekspoor is 7/3 indoors this year, Molčan 8/4, so very similar balance. It's clear that Griekspoor won't keep winning forever, but I believe he will still go all out and beat Molčan in his last tournament of the season.
Tallon Griekspoor to win @ 1.90 (bet365)
