CHALLENGER MEN - SINGLES: Helsinki (Finland), hard (indoor) - Quarter-finals
This match will offer us a duel between Slovak tennis player Alex Molcan (103) and Oscar Otte (116) from Germany.
Molčan is a 23-year-old tennis player and is currently at his career maximum. He is mainly a clay court player, which he proved for example with his final appearance in Belgrade, where he played against Djokovic. He won the title in Liberec and took the final in Prostejov, where he lost to Coria. His transition to indoor is also going well, as he played semifinal in Bergamo, as well as at home in Bratislava. Here he beat Van Rijthoven in 3 sets and then he also beat Japan's Mochizuki.
Otte is a 28-year-old player and is also at his ranking maximum. He is proving his great universality this year. He took the finals on clay in Prague and rocked especially at the US Open, where he went from qualifying to the 1/8-finals and took on the likes of Sonego, Kudla and Seppi. He's also doing very well indoors. He was unbeaten in Ismaing and won the title, just like last week in Ortisei, where he didn't even lose a set. Here he has so far scored 2 comfortable wins over Dzumhur and Rodionov.
In this match, for me, the big favourite is the German tennis player, who has been almost unstoppable lately and if he performs similarly to his previous matches, Molčan will not have too many chances to succeed.
Oscar Otte to win @ 1.72 (bet365)
