They're having a little déjà vu in San Sebastian. Last season, Real Sociedad also led the league table after ten rounds. At that stage of the competition, they had 23 points, but eventually finished fifth in LaLiga. In the current season, Sociedad has 21 points after ten games, which is one point more than both second placed Real Madrid and third placed Sevilla, but these closest challengers have played one less game. Compared to last season, Real Sociedad's position is slightly worse, but even so, they are obviously happy. They would like to enjoy their stay at the top of the table after the 11th round, in which they visit Vigo in a northern Spanish battle.
Although Celta managed to win by a big difference in Getafe (3:0) on Monday, the troubled Madrid club is not exactly the benchmark at the moment, and in total, the Vigo players have 11 points less than the visitors in the table. They will arrive in Vigo in good mood, boosted by their lead in the table and a valuable draw at Atlético Madrid (2-2), where they were even looking for a win with a two-goal lead.
Real Sociedad is for me the favourite in this match with the actual form of both teams. They have not lost a match for twelve games in a row, including Europa League.
